The difference between the variable pulse heat welding machine and the ordinary pulse heat welding machine

Principle of pulse heat welding machine: The heating method of the pulse power supply utilizes the Joule heat generated when the pulse current flows through high-resistance materials such as molybdenum and titanium to heat the welding. Generally, a hot junction is connected at the front end of the heating nozzle, and the instantaneous electric power generated from this feedback controls the power supply to ensure the accuracy of the set temperature.

The most critical factor of the pulse heat welding machine: Temperature control accuracy of the welding head (the precision of the set welding head temperature) Factors affecting temperature control accuracy: Precision of the heating current control + speed of the thermocouple feedback temperature

Differences:

Different precision of heating current control

The variable pulse heat welding machine outputs direct current, uses a higher inverter frequency (4kHz), with one cycle being 0.25 milliseconds, which is 80 times higher than the 20ms of the typical AC welding machine, resulting in significantly improved control accuracy. It has a function for compensating for grid voltage, and is less affected by voltage fluctuations. On the other hand, the ordinary pulse heat welding machine operates on a frequency of 50Hz for grid AC, with one cycle being 20 milliseconds. It is greatly affected by unstable grid voltages and is unable to control the current very well.

Different speeds of thermocouple feedback temperature (sampling speed)

The variable pulse heat welding machine completes this within 1 millisecond, while the ordinary pulse heat welding machine generally takes tens of milliseconds or more, resulting in a noticeable difference in the sampling speed between the two.

Different virtual welding rates

The virtual welding rate of the variable pulse heat welding machine is higherthan that of the ordinary pulse heat welding machine.

Different welding head lifespans

The variable pulse heat welding machine has a lower loss in welding head lifespan and a longer lifespan, while the ordinary pulse heat welding machine has the opposite effect with greater loss and a shorter lifespan.

Different temperature control accuracy

The temperature control accuracy of the variable pulse heat welding machine is about ±3%, whereas the temperature control accuracy of the ordinary pulse heat welding machine has a larger deviation.

In summary, the variable pulse heat welding machine has higher control accuracy and temperature stability, lower virtual welding rates, longer welding head lifespans, and also higher efficiency compared to ordinary pulse heat welding machines. Therefore, it has overall superior performance.
